# Savings Plans

Savings Plans provide discounts on hourly Compute usage in exchange for committing to a monthly spend amount for a fixed term.

* Requires upfront payment for the full term.
* Discount is applied as a monthly coupon to your project.
* Available in 12-month (30% discount) or 36-month (50% discount) terms.
* Monthly commitment ranges from \$500 to \$10,000.

* Bare metal GPU
* Virtual machines GPU

## Discounts and pricing

| 12 months | **30%**  | \$8,400 (vs. \$12,000 total value)   |
| 36 months | **50%**  | \$18,000 (vs. \$36,000 total value)  |

Full upfront payment is required. The amount you pay is your total commitment with the discount already applied.

## How it works

After payment is confirmed, a discount coupon is created and applied to your project for the entire term.

* Each month, a fixed amount discount applies to your hourly Compute usage.
* If usage is below your commitment, the discount is capped at actual usage.
* Usage beyond your commitment is charged at standard rates.

**Example: \$1,000/month commitment**

* \$1,200 usage: \$1,000 discount applied, \$200 charged.
* \$1,000 usage: \$1,000 discount applied, \$0 charged.
* \$800 usage: \$800 discount applied, \$0 charged.

The discount applies only to hourly Compute servers in the savings plans project. Reserved instances, other projects, and taxes are excluded.

## Creating a savings plan

Navigate to **Settings** > **Savings plans** and click **Create savings plan**.

    Choose an On-Demand project. Reserved projects and projects with existing
    discounts are not eligible. Projects with existing savings plans will appear
    disabled.

  <Step title="Enter your monthly commitment">
    Set your monthly spend commitment based on typical usage. Minimum commitment
    is \$500/month, maximum is \$10,000/month.

  <Step title="Select your term">
    Choose 12 months (30% off) or 36 months (50% off).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Review and submit">
    Review the discount and upfront amount, then submit.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Pay the invoice">
    The invoice is sent to your email and must be paid within **1 day**. Once paid, the savings plan activates immediately.

    If unpaid after 1 day, the invoice voids and no charges apply.

  Savings plans are binding. Once activated, you cannot cancel or modify the
  plan.

## Viewing savings plan

Go to **Settings** > **Savings plans** to see all active plans.

Each plan shows:

* Project name.
* Term length.
* Monthly commitment.
* Discount percentage.
* Valid until.
* Upfront payment.

Only active savings plans are visible.

## Important notes

* Each project can have only one active savings plan.
* Multiple savings plans can be created across different projects.
* Monthly commitment must be between \$500 and \$10,000.

* Plans cannot be canceled or modified after activation.
* Only applies to on-demand projects. Reserved instances have separate pricing.
